Cleanroom Capabilities

NPB provides factory authorized cleaning & re-lubrication services in an AS9100/ISO:9001 certified cleanroom.  Re-lubricated bearings are shipped with an updated C-of-C, including factory traceability.  Custom packaging/labeling services are available, along with expedite capabilities.  In addition to the various value-add solutions, we also offer factory authorized relubrication to meet customer requirements.  Manufacturer's certifications include:

NPB stocks a wide variety of specialty lubricants including food grade, low outgassing, and corrosive resistant greases. NPB has over 100 different lubricants in stock and regularly relubricates bearings with customer provided lubricants. Standard or special lubricant fill rates can be requested depending on type of bearings. Grease Plating, centrifuge, and other special application methods are available on request.

The current best practice required by major OEMs (including aircraft, medical/dental, spindle, etc.) is to require bearings used in assemblies to be precision lubricated to spec and have at least 80% of shelf life remaining. NPB lubricates factory standard stock to customer spec and ships with 99% of shelf-life remaining.  We can also renew customer owned product & provide a new expiration date for bearings.  We have hundreds of lubricants available including washdown duty, food-safe, high-vacuum, medical/dental, aerospace, and MIL-spec lubricants.  Same day service is readily available.  We can support contracted rework for both customers & manufacturers, particularly for new product & custom applications.  Contract cleanroom capacity extends to non-bearing items & total assembly (particularly for medical/dental, space launch applications).

We now have an expanded our cleanroom to over 1,600ft2 – this allows us for more value-added solutions as well as shorter lead-times.  Our newly expanded cleanroom is designed to effectively wash, relubricate, and refresh commercial, precision, and airframe bearings using an AS9100 certified process. Our factory certified facility features an ISO Class 6 environment with eight work benches and one ISO Class 5 work-flow bench. The cleaning and relubrication process at NPB is audited and certified by both customers and 3rd party inspectors. The entire process is included in National Precision Bearing's AS9100 Rev. C certified quality system.
